The Mills soccer team took on Bethesda University in an early season match-up. The game was back and forth, with some early chances for both teams. Bethesda got on board first with a goal from Brenda Silva in the 22nd minute. The Cyclones continued to pressure and were able to tie it up with a penalty kick from Lindsey Parscal at the end of the first half.
The second half continued to be a battle between the two teams. Bethesda went up in the 54th minute with a goal from Linda Frias. Mills was not done yet, and strong offense allowed first year, Cerina Bvahani to score off a pass from junior captain, Ashley Crespin. Bethesda went ahead for the final time in the 86th minute to solidify the game at 3-2.
Senior keeper, Tayla Muise finished the day with seven saves and Mills got shots on goal from Parscal, Bvahani, and Alexis Steele. The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday afternoon when they take on Eastern Oregon.
