In the Cyclones' second game of the season, head coach Lilia Dosalmas already saw improvements from their previous game on Friday.
Dosalmas said, "The team created multiple opportunities to score and had more shots on goal than in Friday's game." Along with creating more opportunities to score, the Cyclones were more organized in their attacking shape. They held Evergreen to two goals in the first half and were able to score a goal of their own in the second half.
First year, Arianna Arellano made an impact in the game from the beginning. Arellano pushed the ball and pressured Evergreen's defense. Alongside Arellano, transfer Priscilla Cardenas put pressure on Evergreen. Cardenas was critical in creating several attacking plays for the Cyclones. On the defensive end, senior Alexandra Pineda kept the Cyclones' back lined organized.
